Who Is CoastalComp Corporation?
CoastalComp Corporation (CCC) is a subsidiary of Gulf Coast Claims Service. GCCS is a Houston based company that has been in business since 1962, helping employers, TPAs and insurance carriers reduce their liability and accident claim exposure.
A Time of Change for Texas Employers
As the Worker's Compensation system continued it's spiraling high costs and employers lost control of their employee's injury claim, a proven system was needed to help those employers that elected to opt out of the Worker's Compensation crisis. Thus, CCC was developed in 1990 to offer a totally integrated program of Safety, Loss Control, Training, Claims Management, Cost Reduction Plans and Managed Care to the Texas Worker's Compensation Non-Subscriber.
In 1993, these same services were expanded to include the traditional insured as well and those employers who have chosen the large deductible and/or self-insured programs. It is particularly important in these latter categories to recognize the importance and effectiveness of a hands-on, pro-active stance regarding the administration of employee injury claims. In that regard, CCC established a Claims Management Division and Managed Care Division (nationwide PPO called CoastalComp HealthNetworks or CCHN) to further enhance our cost reduction efforts.
